TAP-ATL kicked off the month of October with their third annual Taiwanese food cook-off, calling for all beef noodle soup enthusiasts. With the brisk Fall weather, nearly 100 attendees came out to the Atlanta OCAC Culture Center to support local teams competing with their best beef noodle soup recipes and casted their vote.
$100 cash prizes were awarded to three teams, with categories being “Most Popular,” “Most Creative,” and “Most Delicious.” The 吳家牛肉麵 (Wu Family Beef Noodle Soup) Team was voted “Most Popular” by the attendees as the fan favorite and Times Niu Roumian with their soup dumpling take on the traditional beef noodle soup took home the “Most Creative” award.
TECO in Atlanta Director-General Wang and OCAC Atlanta Director Ou attended as VIP guest judges for the “Most Delicious” category and awarded the prize to the TEF Home Team. Honorable mention went to the White Guy Tries His Best Team who made a wonderful beef noodle soup whose rich flavor was very memorable.
This was TAP-ATL’s third year hosting this cook-off, with the previous years featuring Pork Braised Rice (滷肉飯) and dumplings.
