  • Since 2006, TAIWANESEAMERICAN.ORG has featured exclusive interviews and personal stories of Taiwanese Americans pursuing their dreams. TA.org also compiles helpful resources, such as their recent 50 Books for Your Taiwanese American Library list.

  • TAIWANESE AMERICAN PROFESSIONALS is located in 10 major cities across the US. View all the chapters here. Many of our TAP chapters have upcoming/ongoing events dedicated to Taiwanese American Heritage Week. If you’re in the area, don’t miss out on participating in one of these great events:
    • TAP-Atlanta is hosting their inaugural Lu Rou Fan Cook Off this Saturday. They will have 12 teams competing for the best lu rou fan! Attendees will get a chance to sample all the lu rou fan entrees and vote for their favorite. More details in the Facebook event.
    • TAP-Austin has a Passport to Taiwan program happening right now. Participants can pick up a passport and collect stamps by ordering a featured iconic Taiwanese food item at a participating restaurant. The passport provides exclusive savings, too! Check out the Facebook event for more details.
    • TAP-Boston is hosting its 6th annual spring gala this Saturday 5/19, featuring MasterChef’s Jason Wang. As the runner-up on the 8th season of MasterChef, Jason will share his experience on the cooking show as a Taiwanese American. Here your tickets here.
    • TAP-DC is hosting a TAPpy Hour to celebrate TAHW. The night will be filled with fun TA facts and trivia. More details in the Facebook event.
    • TAP-San Diego will be participating in the annual Taiwanese Food fair at the Taiwanese American Community Center. Join TAP-SD for a Taiwanese food extravaganza! They will be selling Oden, and Taiwanese style hot snack stew. Check out the Facebook event for more details.
    • TAP-Seattle is selling tickets for the first annual Seattle Taiwanese American Film Festival, which will feature directors Charlie Chu and Li-Chou Yang. Find out more on the official website.
    • TAP-OC will be celebrating with a customized dinner at local Taiwanese favorite, O’Shine! Spots are limited, so make sure to RSVP soon. Details in the Facebook event.
  • Summer camps like LYF, LID, TAF, and TANG create a community for the next generation.
    • LYF (Leading Youth Forward) Camp is a 6 day 5 night Taiwanese American youth leadership summer camp based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
    • LID (Leadership Identify Development) Camp is a youth program for leadership, identity and development based out of Southern California.
    • TAF Summer Conference is a a youth summer camp based in the Midwest.
    • TANG (Taiwanese American Next Generation), based in the East Cost, is a summer program for youth, young adults, and parents.
  • Each year, the TAIWANESE AMERICAN CULTURAL FESTIVAL in San Francisco and PASSPORT TO TAIWAN in New York City bring performances and food to major cities.
