The TACL Political Internship Program or PIP, is an 8-week program in Washington, DC where college students gain hands-on experience in the political process. PIP focuses on identity development and community impact in addition to building leadership and networking skills. In addition to full-time placements, interns attend workshops throughout the summer, have a one-on-one mentorship, and develop a summer-long advocacy project and lobby for important TA issues.
The 2015 program is now underway with a class of four new interns. We introduced them to Washington with a two-day orientation and a welcome BBQ. The rest of the summer will be packed with programming, including an AAPIs in Politics Roundtable, various tours and sporting events, community engagement and more!
