Taiwanese American Citizens League (TACL) is proud to celebrate Taiwan for its recent court ruling and establishing the path to becoming the first country in Asia to recognize the right of same-sex couples to legally marry.  TACL also affirms its mission to enhance the quality of life for all Taiwanese Americans, including those who identify as LGBTQ.

We celebrate the many LGBTQ brothers, sisters, and gender non-conforming persons of the Taiwanese American community who inspire us daily with their courage and resilience in living authentically to change attitudes about the LGBTQ community, and we stand in support of those who continue to struggle with acceptance from their families and friends. LGBTQ individuals are an integral part of our TA community, and we acknowledge that we must work harder to ensure that LGBTQ feel welcome and safe at all our events and programs.
