Taiwanese American Professionals (TAP)
Originally started as a program of TACL in 1991 with one chapter in Los Angeles, since then TAP has grown to have chapters across the nation including in Boston, Chicago, Washington D.C, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, San Diego, San Francisco. It is currently the largest network of young Taiwanese American professionals in the US!
TAP’s mission is to enhance the Taiwanese-American community by networking individuals interested in professional and career development, while emphasizing the preservation of Taiwanese American identity. TAP provides resources and programs that inspire and empower; develop and support professionals to become community-oriented leaders.
TAP focuses on Leadership, Identity, Networking, and Citizenship (LINC). Events that are run by TAP chapters include the Annual San Francisco Taiwanese American Cultural Festival, the Annual Taiwanese Night Market in New York, and the Annual Entrepreneur Competition & Challenge (ECC).
TAP is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization through its parent organization, Taiwanese American Citizens League.
