PRESIDENT | Bob Wu
Bob was born and raised in Houston, TX. He graduated from the University of
Southern California, where he studied International Relations with a focus on Global Business. Upon graduation, Bob participated in the TACL Political Internship and received the Joyce Chiang Outstanding Political Intern Award. After working in different places throughout the world like China, Mexico, Paraguay, and Vietnam, Bob ended up in New York City and is currently a Sr. Analyst with a private investment firm. Bob co-founded TAP-NY in 2010 and served as President for three years. During this time, TAP NY received the Chapter of the Year Award in 2011 and 2012 and has become one of the most active Asian American organizations in the NY area. Bob is passionate about leadership and education policy, and in his free time enjoys Boxing, Running, and Basketball. Bob also volunteers with Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) and Junior Achievement as a mentor and teacher.

Vice President, TAP Chairman | Chris Chang
Chris has served as a Taiwanese/Asian American community leader for several years, including in many TACL local and national roles. Most recently, he was TACL’s National Director of Operations. He co-created and led the founding board of TAP-SF in 2010, serving as TAP-SF President for almost three years – during this time, TAP-SF became one of the most active Taiwanese/Asian American organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area. Previously, he served as Director of the San Francisco Taiwanese American Cultural Festival, Advisor/ Mentor of TACL’s Political Internship, Advisor of TACL's JTASA high school program, and Staff of TACL's LYF youth camp program. Outside of TACL, Chris also serves in leadership and advisory roles across several corporate and non- profit organizations that promote Asian American identity, culture, arts, leadership, and mentorship.
Chris graduated from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, where he led some of the largest Asian American, business, and service organizations. By day, Chris is a Senior Consultant at a global management and strategic consulting firm. In his spare time, he loves dragon boating, traveling, meeting new friends, and going on new adventures.

Vice President, TACL Programs | Candice Hung
Candice Hung is a Taiwanese American activist living in Los Angeles. During college, Candice served as the President of the Taiwanese American Union at UCLA as well as the Executive Director of the ITASA West Coast Conference. Candice joined TACL as a Political Intern in 2006, and is the current Coordinator of the Political Internship Program in Southern California. Armed with a Bachelor of Arts in International Development and a Master of Arts in Urban Planning, Candice works as a real estate developer who specializes in building homes for low-income, urban communities. Candice has traveled to over 22 countries across 4 continents, but still calls Taiwan home.

External Relations/Community Manager | Connie Hwang
Connie was born and raised in Rowland Heights, Cali (woot!) and developed her passion for design while attending UCSB. She has worked as a Senior Designer at JAKKS Pacific and a Production Artist and International Brand Developer at DM Label Group. Connie was actively involved with Taiwanese American Professions back in 2009, and later served as TAP-LA Secretary and President. You can find her enjoying anything and everything at anytime! However, good food, good drinks, good moosic, and good stories (all equating to great memories) with friends and family is how she prefers to spend most of her free time. Somewhere in that mix, badminton, eyegasmic logos, nifty tech gadgets, random travel destinations, and discovering good eats are her little joys in life.

New Chapter Development | Andy Juang
Andy grew up in Memphis, TN. He spent his undergrad days at the University of Michigan and the University of Pennsylvania. After 4 years in the financial industry in New York City, he left for graduate school at the Stanford Graduate School of Business (class of 2013). Andy first joined TAP-NY as part of the inaugural board in 2010 serving as social chair and then Vice President. After a 1 year hiatus, he rejoined Bob Wu & TACL as the Director of New Chapter Development. Andy is driven by 3 things in life: family, finding a good deal (as it relates to investing), and building a strong Taiwanese American community. When he needs to unwind, you'll find him playing basketball, watching sports, or watching movies.

Alumni Relations | Kelly Shih
Kelly is from Silver Spring, MD and is a senior studying Government and Politics at the University of Maryland, College Park. She was a 2010 TACL Political Intern at Senator Boxer's office and former president of UMD's Taiwanese American Student Association. She is also involved on campus working at the study abroad office, organizing for Amnesty International, and giving school tours. She will enter real life working in consulting later this year, and plans to pursue a career in international development. She loves singing, Brian Williams, climbing rocks, eating pudding in Taiwan, sharks, and looking out the window on airplanes.

Advisor (Yoda) | Teddy Liaw
Teddy has been an active leader in the community for several years. He was the former TACL National President and National Chairman of the Board. He is largely credited as the founder of the Taiwanese American Professionals (TAP), leading the inaugural chapter as President for 3 years, authoring the mission statement and Constitution, and creating the vision for the national organization. He also led the TACL Internship Program for 3 years, served as an advisor for numerous camps, and created the TACL Leadership Initiative in 2012, which has produced leadership conferences across the country. He graduated from UC Berkeley, where he was the ASUC (student body) President and founder and 3-term President of the Asian American Association. He is currently a Senior Director at LiveOps, a Silicon-valley technology company.
